For the second year in a row, the only airshow to utilise two different locations is set to roar into action over Surfers Paradise in the Gold Coast.

The Pacific Airshow began in 2016 on Huntington Beach in Los Angeles. Then, in 2018 the airshow was recognized as the Civilian Air Show Site of the Year by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Last year, in 2023 the Pacific Airshow expanded to have a second airshow in the Gold Coast.

Pacific Airshow GC director Kevin Elliott mentioned, “As we gear up for our second year, the anticipation and excitement are higher than ever. Given we sold out tickets for last year’s event, I strongly suggest you secure your space on the sand very early.”

In 2023, the event attracted over 250,000 people wanting to experience the thrill of watching aircraft fly low and fast over the warm water of the Gold Coast. This year, the airshow is set to expand to a large 1.5-kilometre stretch of Surfers Paradise, an upgrade from the 1-km used in 2023.

With over 4 hours of exhilarating aerial action from some of the best civilian and military aviators on the planet, you’re going to be dropping your jaw.

What will be on display? The Pacific Airshow will be a perfect opportunity to see numerous rare aircraft in action.

The U.S. Air Force will show off multiple aircraft including not one but two F-22 Raptors, a KC-135 Stratotanker, a C-17 Globemaster and multiple MV-22 Ospreys from the U.S. Marine Corps. Alongside the USAF, the Royal Australian Air Force is set to display a F/A-18 Super Hornet, multiple aircraft from RAAF 100 Squadron and the show stopping RAAF Roulettes.

Aside from the highly anticipated Air Force displays, a number of general aviation aircraft will be on show. The general aviation aircraft include but are not limited to; a one of a kind Yak 110, the impressive Freedom Formation, an iconic T-33 Shooting Star, a high speed L-39 formation display, the Redstar Roulettes display team flying a mix of Yak 52s and Nanchang CJ6s and of course a TON of high performance light aircraft such as Matt Hall’s MXS and the screaming diamonds formation.
