Air NZ to connect Christchurch and Adelaide
Air New Zealand has announced that from later this year, they will begin flights from Christchurch to Adelaide using their A320NEOs.

Air Niugini is continuing to upgrade its fleet with orders for five new Airbus A220s adding to the airlines existing order of six A220s. The first jet will be delivered later this year.
Domestic jet services to return to Hamilton after 25 years
Today, Air New Zealand announced they will begin flying their Airbus A320s between Hamilton and Christchurch from September 18th this year.
Qantas boosts flights to NZ; overtaking Air NZ in number of trans-tasman flights
Qantas has announced a significant boost its flights to and from Australia and New Zealand during the upcoming summer travel period. It will see an increase in capacity of up to 20 percent over December and January.
Damaged Air New Zealand 777 returns to Auckland at low altitude
On May 22nd, an Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300er was damaged after it collided with an airbridge while pushing back at Brisbane Airport.

First ex-RNZAF C-130H set to depart for new owner, Coulson

QantasLink ends flights to Lorde Howe Island after 30 years

Qantas will soon operate flights between Adelaide and Auckland
Qantas has announced plans to offer a new non-stop service between Auckland and Adelaide. The airline will fly the route four times per week using a Boeing 737-800, commencing October 31, 2025.
Origin Air to pull out of Wellington to Taupo route after just three months
Originair has cancelled its Taupō to Wellington service, leaving the central North Island city without any direct flights to the capital. The Nelson-based airline only recently started flying the route in February after Sounds Air had to axe the service do to financial pressure.
Qantas to restart Perth to Auckland flights
From later this year, Qantas will begin flying between Perth and Auckland, in direct competition with Air New Zealand. Qantas has also added new flights from Perth to Johannesburg, South Africa.
Adelaide will become first destination to welcome Emirates’ “long range” A350
Starting late this year, Emirates will begin flying their brand new Airbus A350s non-stop between Dubai and Adelaide. This route will be Emirates’ first “long haul“ flight for the A350ULR.
