Fiji Airways begins flights from Nadi to Canberra

Travellers around Oceania can start getting excited as Fiji Airways, the national carrier for Fiji has just announced that they have a new route to Australia's capital that just began in July 2023.

The flight number for this route is FJ951 for NAN-CBR with a departure time of 9:30 am local Fiji time and an arrival time of 12:35 pm Australian eastern standard time. The flight number for its return flight is FJ950 from CBR-NAN with a departure time of 1:35 pm Australian eastern standard time and arrival time of 7:40 pm local Fiji time.

Fiji Airways operates a total of five Boeing 737 MAX 8s which are much more modern aircraft compared to the older 737-800 that Fiji Airways operates. Fiji Airways’ 737 MAX 8s were built in Renton, USA and delivered new to Fiji’s flag carrier roughly four years ago. With DQ-FAH being the youngest 737 aircraft in their fleet.
