Avalon Airshow set to soar
In late March this year, the biennial airshow, Avalon International Airshow will return to the skies above Avalon, near Melbourne. The airshow last took to the skies in 2023 after a series of cancellations due to the COVID pandemic.

The last airshow, in 2023, was a total sell out attracting aviation fans from across Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world. Guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of spectacular aviation exhibits both indoor and outdoors at the large airshow.
So far confirmed aircraft for the airshow include multiple assets from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) such as an F-35, F/A-18, C-130J, a P-8 Poseidon, the Air Force Roulettes and more. Alongside the RAAF, the United States Airforce (USAF) will also display a few aircraft like the F-22 Raptor, F-16 Viper and an AH-64 Apache. The Singapore Airforce (RSAF) will showcase a CH-47 Chinook as well. Other than the military performers, Matt Hall, Emma McDonald, and Paul Bennet airshows with race into the skies with their extreme high performance planes.
Gates open at 8am and Flying displays will take place from 10am until 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. On Friday however, gates open to the public at 12pm with flying from 12:30pm till 8:30pm. On Friday night will also be a spectacular pyrotechnics display with fireworks, fireworks shooting off aircraft and the huge “wall of fire”.

In 2023, there was over 300 aircraft on display, between both flying displays to give you an adrenaline rush and static displays to get up close and personal with.
The venue of the airshow is Avalon Airport, aprox. 50 mins south west of Melbourne city. There is limited parking onsite and if you’d like to use public transport, you can catch the V line to Lara where the airshow has shuttles running to/from the airshow to Lara.
The show sure is shaping up to be incredible, but tickets are selling fast so don’t miss out.
